AudioMan 'Ticks' White Noise (focused frequency)
Developed by AudioMan, based on many years of research and development, these files are made up from a 12 millisecond file that has a 1ms fade in and out, then 15ms of silence is added and that sequence repeated (looped).
Studies showed that this combination, used for 20 minutes as a ‘treatment’ daily, really helped the majority of those within the testing groups to reduce tinnitus levels and offer excellent relief.
Files in the higher frequencies create a similar sound to 'Crickets' which are proven to be a popular audio masking sound for tinnitus.
These audio files are White Noise that is targeted at the specified frequency but allowing a roll-off within 250Hz each way. Preview samples in the player to the right.
Ideally you should try and match your tinnitus using the tone generator on the main library page and aim for files within 500Hz either way. Should you require a specific frequency I do not have here, or a bespoke file, I can create that for you, please email.
Listen at a low volume, remember you are not 'blasting out' or 'covering up' the tinnitus. There will be a 'mix-point' (often very quiet) where the audio can possibly cancel out the ringing in your ears.
It's worth trying a variety of sounds and waveforms to see what suits you best.
