Audio For Tinnitus
Following many years of suffering from ringing in the ears, the discovery of audio masking was a relief to find. With many files available for streaming online, it became apparent that although certain frequencies were commonplace, the variety of pitch and type of sound that people suffered was vast.
AudioMan has been created to give those suffering with tinnitus an option to download audio files (rather than having to stream online) that target their unique condition in the hope of some relief as we go about our daily activity. Also to help with relaxation and aid in a decent night’s sleep.
Tinnitus Audio Masking Library
The online sound therapy tinnitus audio masking library we have created containing a selection of over 400 audio files includes popular masking sound such as white and pink noise with specific frequencies enhanced. There are also sine, pulse, square, needle wave files and binaural beats (based on chakra frequencies for meditation and relaxing/sleep aid) also included in the comprehensive library.
We have covered many frequencies across the audio spectrum, hopefully allowing the user to focus in on a sound that works for them. In addition to pushing/enhancing specific frequencies, we have also included notch filtering, where specific frequencies are reduced, as some find this option helps to mask their tinnitus.
Our no-fuss download system allows users to quickly purchase files without entering personal details or being added to a database, we do not collect your info. Following payment at Paypal (account not required) you are redirected to your file straight away, no email link etc, just instantly back to the site for download.
To protect your hearing we strongly recommend setting headphone or speaker volume very low prior to playing any previews of audio files and exercise caution when listening to audio created including low frequencies (below 20Hz) and high frequencies (above 10,000Hz).
It is important to find your mix-point which is the level where your tinnitus is masked by the sound. This is often quite a low volume and it is a misconception to believe that playing the sounds loudly will ‘drown out’ your tinnitus, that is not what you should be trying to achieve. It is more as the name suggests, masking the sound of ringing in the ears that you are trying to accomplish.
Speaker and Audio System Testing
Our audio library can also be used for burning in speakers and headphones or evaluating live PA systems due to the large bandwidth of tones available, with quick access to download. Files can be used to evaluate response of systems and speakers at specific frequency ranges.
